Baltimore is a city of neighborhoods. As neighborhoods evolve, their boundaries expand and contract. While this fluidity contributes to vibrant communities, it does not support the ability to measure outcomes in a place consistently over time.
BNIA-JFI uses Community Statistical Area (CSA) boundaries for tracking Vital Signs data so that progress can be measured over time. CSAs are based on United States Census tracts, which remain consistent from year to year. You can find the latest profile report on each of Baltimore’s 55 CSAs below, featuring data through 2017 from Vital Signs 17.
If you cannot find your neighborhood on this list, go to our Vital Signs page and use the Address Lookup (orange button) function.
